

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Marly Metayer immigrated to the United States as a young teenager and built a life centered around service, faith, family, and perseverance. After graduating from Dillard High School, she pursued a career in healthcare and became a registered nurse, dedicating over three decades to caring for individuals and families throughout South Florida. Her professional experience in mental health, hospice care, and patient advocacy has given her a deep understanding of the challenges families face every day and strengthened her belief that leadership must lead with empathy, dignity, and humanity.

Marly Metayer is a longtime Coral Springs resident, registered nurse, mother, grandmother, and community advocate who has spent more than 35 years caring for families across South Florida. After experiencing unimaginable personal loss, Marly made the decision to step forward and serve the community that has supported her family for decades. Her campaign for Coral Springs City Commission Seat 3 is rooted in compassion, resilience, unity, and a commitment to putting people first. Marly believes leadership should be accessible, accountable, and focused on improving the everyday lives of residents throughout Coral Springs.
In 1999, Marly and her family chose Coral Springs as their permanent home because of its strong neighborhoods, diversity, safety, and sense of community. Over the years, she became deeply involved in local outreach through church ministries, youth mentorship, volunteer efforts, and neighborhood engagement. As a mother of four children raised in Coral Springs, Marly understands firsthand the importance of protecting families, supporting youth, and creating opportunities that allow residents to thrive. Her commitment to service has always extended beyond healthcare and into the everyday needs of the community she proudly calls home.
